Básicamente, es una baraja que fusiona los palos franceses, con el estilo de los naipes mamelucos (considerados los más antiguos, o al menos arcaicos, de esta parte del mundo).
Para mi gusto, la abstracción de los palos franceses combina perfectamente con la inherente a los naipes mamelucos. Y si saca el proyecto adelante, muy probablemente me los coja...

The patterns were drawn first in ink. The colours were then done in watercolour over a trace of the pattern outline. And then the layers were combined digitally. So there are 52 unique designs.
I'm hoping to run a Kickstarter for a print run of these cards in the new year. I've also widened the cards to poker size and added corner indices and an outer border. We'll have to see about a narrower (or bigger ...) index-free variant.
